Tim Ives is a Brooklyn based A.S.C & Emmy nominated Cinematographer. From Vermont, Tim began his career in New York filming Music Videos for influential artists such as The Dave Matthews Band, The Beastie Boys, Pink, Sheryl Crow, The Roots, The Wallflowers, Superdrag, The Breeders, Patti Smith, Francois Hardy and Sarah Mclachlan among others. From there Tim’s work expanded to commercials, TV and Film. Influential Films and Series Tim has shot include STRANGER THINGS (Pilot and 1st 3 seasons), GIRLS, HALSTON, FOSSE/VERDON, ARE YOU THERE GOD IT’S ME MARGARET & WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES. Tim also helmed pilots for the series MR. ROBOT, BLUE BLOODS & MANIFEST. Directors Tim has collaborated with include; The Duffer Brothers, Lena Dunham, Thomas Kail, Kelly Fremon Craig, Lesli Linka-Glatter, Vanessa Caswill, Daniel Minahan, David Frankel, Sam Esmail, Shawn Simmons and Lee Toland Krieger among others.
Tim recently wrapped filming on the Universal picture “Reminders Of Him” for Director Vanessa Caswil, and the Netflix film “Just Picture It” Directed by Lee Krieger with Millie Bobby Brown in the lead.
